“NANOCON”, the International Conference on Nanotechnology, is an endeavor of Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Pune, India, to bring together and provide a platform to the experts from Academia, Industry and R & D institutes from India and abroad to interact, deliberate, disseminate and exchange ideas, share knowledge, and develop a common vision for the future developments in the field of Nanotechnology.

Dr. Anand Bhalerao Proliferation of Nanotechnology is fuelled by expectations of dramatic improvements in the diverse interdisciplinary fields of nano medicine, space technology, energy, defense, electronics and agriculture. Anticipated benefits to mankind involve. accurate drug delivery and cure of critical diseases like cancer, AIDS etc. energy security; efficiency and conservation up to 90-95%, stronger, smaller and much lighter materials for higher safety, efficient electronics for faster computations, manipulation and manufacturing systems, agricultural produce with least dependence on weather and of higher nutritional value.
